Sewing Lessons

Now offering private and group sewing lessons.

Bring your own project to work on and get the guidance you need so you no longer have to put your unfinished project in a box in your closet.

$20 per 1:30 session

No experience needed.

Available for ages: 9 and up

basic sewing class - pajama pants

dates: march 22, 29, april 5, 12 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

• introduction to your personal sewing machine
• use and care of basic sewing equipment
• pattern reading, layout, cutting
• basic construction techniques

classes should be paid for one week before classes begin.
refunds will be issued only in the event of weather cancellation or a schedule conflict on the part of the teacher.

burp cloths

burp cloths -- to wipe up life's little messes

• these are made with scraps and leftovers from garments, so i can't guarantee what styles or colors that i will have in stock . . . but that's the fun, right?
  

hooded towels and wash mitts

my two boys (oldest one pictured) love these towels. they keep them warm and dry from bathroom to bedroom. i especially loved the fact that they fit from birth to 5 years!

nursing wrap

$20.00 -- so, when i had my second, we were out in public alot more which meant more nursing in public. i found that this nursing wrap kept me all covered and prevented peepers. it is ambidextrous; has a eyes only panel/opening so you can keep track of your little one w/o everybody else peeking; storage bag that folds up for diaper bag storage!

burp cloths

market totes

$10.00 -- market totes. instead of using those weak old plastic grocery bags, why not spice up your shopping trip with these cuties!

key fobs

now, i am not much of a key fanatic. but, i love this key fob -- it is easy to spot; fits on my wrist when my hands are full, and its machine washable (just safety pin it inside a pillow case to keep the metal from rubbing any of your other clothes), but line dry.

ribbons

okay, a break from all things vintage or vintage inspired. but, i love preppy ribbon, so a few of my items include grosgrain ribbon included in their construction. i hope they will make you smile as much as they make me smile.

buttons

all the buttons i use are vintage buttons.

it's not that i don't want to support modern retailers, but i just can't bear the thought of vintage buttons going unused. many of my items have buttons that are specifically (i.e. not randomly) selected for that particular product.

because i use vintage buttons, i can't guarantee that the specific button that you would like will always be available. my suggestion -- let me pick for you -- that's part of the fun for me.
